ファッション雑誌 MISS/ミス（世界文化社）。
日本では、女性が男性に愛を告白する日、というより、
女性が誰かに（自分にも）チョコをプレゼントする日、バレンタインズデー。
子供の頃、学校で誰か女の子にプレゼントされるかもと、その日はそわそわワクワク。
でも結局一つももらえず帰宅すると、
母親から「どうせ誰からももらえなかったでしょ。」とチョコをもらい、
何とも言えず複雑な気持ちになったのを思い出します。

Valentine’s day in Japan,
is a day when women give away chocolates to someone (friends, boyfriend, etc.)
and not a lot of confessing love from one to another.
When I was a kid, my heart bounced waiting for the surprised chocolate gift from someone.
I remember once, my mother gave me a pity chocolate when I came home with empty handed.
Not my best Valentine memory…
